Thrifty Finds

Found this vintage sailor dress almost a year ago but haven't gotten around to posting.  I'm selling it on etsy, but if no one buys, I'm happily keeping it!

What a beauty... The dress too :)

Thrifty Finds-Craigslist

Wanted a bench near our door so people can kick off their shoes and store them right underneath.  I originally wanted to go to a local school and ask if they're selling, or giving away any benches (doesn't hurt to ask) but never got around to it.  SO of course restored to good'ol Criagslist and got me a deal!  $10 for a good lookin', long, narrow bench.

Kicking off my shoes and storing right under.

Thrifty-Finds

An unexpected find on one of my treasure hunts.  This pretty lady (she remind me of "Gone With the Wind") was only 0.95!  What a steal.
I'd love to hold a giveaway one day (for the two who read my blog :) with a thrifty find that I don't need but love.  That would be so fun.

Thrifty-Finds (Reading is Fun)

Books are just great and you can't have too many.  I periodically go through my kids toy boxes and clean it up, throw away nonsense, and give away excess, but I rarely, if ever, give away or get rid of books!

"Cinderella" and "Little Red Riding Hood" I bought in Seattle, and "Spelling Goals" was given to us by my sassy friend from her excursion down south (thank you so! :)

Rain,
Come soon so we can cuddle up on our couch, read, and hear your droplets.

Love,
Tibayans

Thrifty Finds

Helloooo doll.  Found this pretty thing in Seattle and had to buy her.  Not sure what I'll do with her, but she is just too cute!

What should I do?  I almost want to do nothing just because I want her intact :)

Thrifty Finds-2nd Suitcase

Another of my finds in Seattle.  A cute mini suitcase.

With red velvet lining...too cute.  Packed with a handful of valuables.
Accompanied by the previous one, make an adorable match :)

Thrifty Finds-Suitcase

Found this adorable suitcase in Seattle.  Fell in love with its stature.  It's a mini suitcase which fits perfectly in the kids room.  First thing the kids did upon seeing it---packing it up to venture into their own minds of imagination.

Even PJ uses it at times for is books.

Seattle-Day 2

Seattle is just too lovely.  Armed with our list of "to do's" we painted the town red.  First up, the much talked about Pike's Market Place...
Our eatery stop at, Michou, a fine pasta, sandwich shop.
Absolutely yumlicious!
Next on list...
the acclaimed Russian pastry spot- Piroshky Piroshky
Another yum!
Next... of course the Starbucks that started it all...
Then, a little tiny shopping :)
She was great, we love her so and glad she was our tourist partner.
Next up... awesome Thrifty Finds!
Lovely excited to see Atari game console.
Had to stop to refuel at Hi-Life, a unique spot because of its building being an old fire station...wish I could live in it!
And last on our list for the night, "Seattle's Best Cupcake" Cupcake Royale
The verdict---
their "Red Velvet," a 5 out of 10!  Very disappointing.  They got NOTHING on Sprinkles!
To end the night (yes, it's this bright out at 9:45PM!) a beautiful drive up to see the sun set with the generous Mr. & Mrs. Robertsons (the couple PJ was staying with for a weekend each month).  A productive, wonderful, non- exhausting day.  We were thankful to God for this vacation, he is much too kind.

Thrifty Finds

Been a while since I've put up some of my nifty thrifty store treasures.  Don't let the hiatus fool you, I've just been holding out since life has been full of babies, and a toddler ;)
This turquoise beauty I saw and snatched up right away.  I'd like to get a nice house plant and make this its home.

Thrifty Finds-Hummingbirds

On one of my thrift store shopping endeavors, I found this pretty kitchen towel (at least I think it is), and snapped it up.  My daughter loves "birdies" so now it hangs near their bathroom (the kids share a room).  A cool thing about this towel, is the names of each hummingbird is underneath.  Cute and educational :)
Treasure hunting is fun.

Thrifty Find-Luck of the Irish

Found this pretty textile with a map of Ireland and various images around it that represent Ireland.  I couldn't pass it up, and happily took this little treasure home for my son.
I'm not sure if it's in its permanent home, but for now it decorates the kids bathroom.
