Patam Family Photo Shoot

A few weeks ago I went on an excursion with the wonderful Jasmine (aka Jazzy Bear). I tagged along with her as she captured memories of her friend's family.  They were a wonderful bunch and were very patient with Jazzy as she positioned them here, there, everywhere!  I was able to get a few shoots but a lot of my time was spent with their adorable child Ava.  She was a ham and I lucky shoot pictures of her (although I can't post them because I ran out of room on blogger!)  I'll just have to post them on Facebook.

Patam's Captured Memories...

Thanks Jazzy and Patam Family!

Christmas Tree

As much as I would like to go into the forest and cut down our own tree, that's not realistic here in LA (maybe there's a way?).  As our yearly tradition, we set up our tree right after Thanksgiving.  We did get the outdoorsy feel, since we set it up outside.  Reason: because I was scared there were spiders inside the tree box!  Good thing we didn't spot any.

Christmas time is here!  YAY!

Thanksgiving

This year was a bit different.  Changes were made to our usual yearly schedule, which I happened not to like.  Even family picture taking for us was off... Every time we were ready either Rock, Key or Story would be sleeping.  OFF.  The whole day I felt it.  No matter how OFF I felt, God was gracious in reminding me that my life was full of things I should be thankful for.  Just a few...
1. A regenerate heart
2. My Lovely husband
3. Adorable, delightful Children
4. My gracious, imperfect, covenant church family
5. My hilarious, loving, rambunctious God given family
6. Friends
7. A warm home
8. Thanksgiving living room sleep overs with kids
9. Ministering with my husband
10. A marriage covenant that allows us to "be real" with each other

Thank you Lord SO much for your kindness to us in Christ Jesus.  We really are undeserving.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Sister Date Night

September marked the month that we began our "Sister Date Night"  It's been SO fun and exciting to have uninterrupted conversations; although, our conversations seem bi-polar, but what do you expect with 5 girls chatting away!  We laugh at how we get excited, fancied up, and feel like we are going to a club, ALL to just eat and chat, and raise our loud voices... And are the last ones to leave!  Too much fun.  I thank God for these group of ladies that I am privileged to call my sisters.

Looking forward to years of these!

7 Months

For Story's 7 months, she began to eat...

Well, not really!  Way more smiling and laughing than eating.

BlueBerry BuckWheat Pancakes

I met a cashier at Trader Joe's a few days ago, who just finished school at Georgetown University in D.C.  We reminisced about good'ole times spent there in D.C.   Top of the conversation list was Eastern Market and their yummilious food at  Market Lunch!

Their infamous blueberry buckwheat pancakes made their way into my brain!  Since they were on my mind, I decided to make them.

With a side of encouraging scripture, what more could a me ask for?

BlueBerry BuckWheat Pancakes from here

(but I added cinnamon, vanilla extract, and substituted canola oil for vegetable oil)

Let Man Not Separate...

November 12th marked the day that my friend became one with her God given gift.  It was a beautiful day, a beautiful wedding and she was a beautiful bride!  The Lord was kind in giving Jed to Crystal and Crystal to Jed.  Here is their wedding story...

A treasured moment to witness.  PJ and I love attending weddings because it reminds us of all the preparation put into a unknown life together and the reality of marriage.  Marriage is SUCH a blessing WITH loads of sanctification :)

Congrats Jed & Crystal !!!
